All Species With The Pannie Pounder!

Updated: Apr 16, 2023

Ever since I was a kid plastic baits and tricking fish into taking them always excited me. There is something special about getting a quality fish to smash a plastic but it's even more special when it's a lure you have designed! In 2022 while i was casting some old style spinners with plastic worms I couldn't help but think about ways I could better the lures and right away I started designing the Pannie Pounder.

I put plenty of thought into designing the Pannie Pounder and although it may seem like a simple design there is a method to all of my madness. The blade protrudes further than the rest of the bait allowing it to work as a prop, this allows the bait to be mostly weedless!! There are also other differences making my bait stand out above the rest but I have to keep some secrets to myself.

The first time i gave the Pannie Pounder a test run I was in awe of how well it worked, my friend was fishing with live bait and I was outfishing him by a long shot! It wasn't long till my friend decided to try me casting this great bait. The Pannie Pounder is the perfect bait to cast with an ultralight rod and light line. The weight of the lure alone with light line can be casted but if needed you can add a splitshot for extra weight. Casting these along weed edges, cattails, reeds, lily pads, or any other structure and slowly reel them in, you will be blown away at how hard and fast the fish will smack the lure. If the fish is around it's basically a sure thing they will hit these. They work for basically all species, I have personally caught bluegills, sunfish, rockbass, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, northern pike, yellow perch, brook trout, rainbow trout, brown trout and freshwater drum on these great baits! That was only the first season though and I'm sure you will see they work for everything. Fisherman fell in love with the pannie pounder quickly so I decided to make a slighly larger bait that I called the Pig Pounder. The Pig Pounder was made mostly for Bass, Walleye, Pike, And Trout but I'm sure you will find too that these will catch all species. They can be ordered in 20 great colors and I'm sure over time I will expand my colors! Get out, catch fish on these great baits, and please share your photos!
